Job description

·         Measure, cut, fit and assemble drywall sheets  

·         Produce and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place them in panels to create acoustic and coffered ceilings

·         Tape at joints with tape and embed the tape in the mix

·         Apply successive layers of joints and sands as well as joints

·         Place and attach metal sheets to metal or wooden dowels or joists

·         Cut and install metal corners to protect the outer corners

·         Fill joints, nail recesses, holes and cracks with a joint mixture using a trowel and wide knife

·         Smooth out excess mix and let dry

·         Prepare offers and offers

·         Instruct students

·         Supervise other employees

·        Work at heights, on scaffolding or turns

Wymagania

-Edukacja: ukończenie szkoły średniej

- Doświadczenie: wymagane  jest minimum 3 lata doświadczenia w montażu płyt kartonowo-gipsowych, tynkowaniu lub wykończeniu. Jeśli kandydat nie ma co najmniej 3-letniego doświadczenia, wówczas wymagane jest świadectwo ukończenia szkoły średniej II stopnia LUB Ukończenie trzy- lub czteroletniego programu praktyk LUB LUB Połączenie trzech lat doświadczenia zawodowego z pewną szkołą średnią, college'em lub kursy branżowe dotyczące tynkowania, płyt gipsowo-kartonowych lub wykończeniowych pomogą się zakwalifikować

Warunki pracy i możliwości fizyczne: praca z dużymi ładunkami, koordynacja ręka-oko, powtarzalne zadania, zginanie, kucanie, klęczenie, sprawność manualna, wysiłek fizyczny, długotrwałe przebywanie

- Środowisko pracy: zakurzone, głośne

-Przydatność osobista: niezawodność, osąd, elastyczność, gracz zespołowy, niezawodność

- Obciążenie: do45 kg (100 funtów)

 

 

Koszty transportu są pokrywane, jeśli pracownik musi się przeprowadzić. Zapewniony zostanie również transport z jednego miejsca pracy do drugiego.

 

Ważne informacje:

-Ta pozycja będzie wymagać pracy od poniedziałku do piątku w godzinach od 7:30 do 17:00 z 60 minutami bezpłatnego lunchu i dwoma 15-minutowymi nieodpłatnymi przerwami

-Pracownik będzie się obracał na różnych budowach / budowach w całym Londynie, Ottawie i Kingston.

Job Description

 Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets

 Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered

ceilings

 Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound

 Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints

 Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists

 Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners

 Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife

 Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry

 Prepare tenders and quotations

 Instruct apprentices

 Supervise other workers

 Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages

 Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications

 Estimate costs and materials

 Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms

 Help to clean and prepare surfaces

 Prepare wall and ceiling layouts

Requirements

- Education: Completion of high school

- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in drywall installing, plastering or finishing is required. If the

candidate does not have at least 3 years of experience, then a post-secondary education certificate OR

Completion of a three-to four-year apprenticeship program is required OR A combination of three years of

work experience and some high school, college or industry courses in plastering, drywalling or finishing will

help to qualify

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Handling heavy loads, Hand-eye co-ordination, Repetitive tasks,

Bending, crouching, kneeling, Manual dexterity, Physically demanding, Standing for extended periods

- Work Site Environment: Dusty, Noisy

-Personal Suitability: Dependability, Judgment, Flexibility, Team player, Reliability

- Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Benefits: Transportation costs covered if worker needs to relocate. Also, transportation from one work

location to another will be provided.

Important information:

-This position will require working Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM with 60 minutes of unpaid

lunch and two 15-minute unpaid breaks

-The worker will rotate in different construction / building sites throughout London, Ottawa and Kingston.
